Today, I relived my childhood.
It is not only the kids who scored well in their exams, but even I passed the test!
Kids who dropped out of schools and hated attending classes,
Now put in 100% attendance at HMF centres!
Kids who were popular as mischievous & trouble makers,
Are now known as ‘responsible’ kids who play while they play and study when they have to!
Kids who used to extend their holidays, making thousands of excuses so as to not come back to classes,
Are now calling up and asking for the sessions to be resumed!
Kids who were least bothered about their results & other kids who used to fear results,
Are now going around proudly displaying their report cards across their villages!
It never is the case of competency, it is almost always a case of not generating sufficient interest for the kids and not guiding them properly to take up school seriously! This is where we fill the gaps!
It is never about the grades – It is about teaching them how to live! It is never about School, it is always about Life!
It is about empowering kids and giving every kid the confidence that someone is there to back them up. This was from what I missed in my childhood that prompted me to start HMF education.
I don’t know where they will fly and where they will reach, that time will only tell – but for now, I am happy to see this happy beginning, I am happy to see their small wings take off!
It is not only the students who passed their exams with great grades, it was also Alisha succeeding in her efforts and starting to realise the vision and dreams she had for HMF. Making a difference is all that counts!
Parents who earlier did not bother about their kids education and hardly remembered which class they were in are now enquiring when we are resuming our sessions post summer holidays! They are now checking marks across subjects and highlighting improvement areas for their kids! They now have started developing the belief that their kids will go way ahead of them when they grow up – enabling them to vicariously live their dreams.
“Kya karega padhke, chalana tho rickshaw hi hai”!
These were the words from one of the parents who asked us today to resume HMF classes ASAP!
If this is not making a difference, what it is?
If this is not adding meaning to their lives, what it is?
If this is not enabling dreams to come true, what it is?
If this is not spreading happiness, what it is?
